Job description
The Principal Investors Relations & ESG role leads the strategic execution of OQEP’s Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management initiatives, ensuring clear, timely, and compliant communication with financial markets, shareholders, bondholders, analysts, and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations & ESG, the position supports preparation and dissemination of key market disclosures, corporate presentations, investor packs, roadshow materials, and annual reports. Responsibilities include monitoring share price and analyst forecasts, developing investor targeting programs, and maintaining investor databases and communication calendars. The role involves collaboration with internal business functions (CFO, COO, CCO, legal) and external entities (MSX, FSA, analysts). A strong understanding of financial modeling, capital market behavior, regulatory compliance, and ESG frameworks is required. The role demands a high level of coordination, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities
- Support Head of IR & ESG in preparing regulatory disclosures and capital market press releases
- Maintain the Investor Relations section of the corporate website and develop supporting investor materials
- Conduct competitor, peer-group, shareholder, and bondholder analyses
- Develop and manage the annual investor targeting and engagement plan
- Prepare presentations and materials for investor sessions, roadshows, and capital markets events
- Respond to investor and analyst queries and coordinate meetings
- Monitor share price performance and analyst forecasts, preparing comparison reports
- Maintain investor database and update investor relation calendar
- Support relationship building with buy-side and sell-side analysts, rating agencies, and stakeholders
- Assist in producing the Annual Report in coordination with business verticals
- Coordinate internal data collection and prepare reports summarizing key financial and strategic drivers
- Support business reporting improvements and ensure alignment with corporate KPIs
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Marketing
- 10–12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in oil and gas
- 3+ years in corporate finance and/or capital markets
- Experience analyzing consolidated financial statements and preparing investor presentations
- Knowledge of sustainability and ESG frameworks
- Understanding of capital markets, investor behavior, and corporate governance practices
- Proficiency in financial modeling, regulatory reporting, and CRM/BI tools
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic desired)
- Comfort working under pressure in dynamic environments
