Job description
The Amazon MENA CX Product team seeks a highly analytical and technically proficient Business Intelligence Engineer to lead data analytics efforts that inform critical product decisions. This role will support the customer shopping journey—from Search to Checkout—by transforming large, disparate datasets into strategic insights that guide business and product development. As a key partner in product planning, the engineer will access multiple data sources, automate reports, identify patterns, track experiments, and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key responsibilities
- Interface/interact with business and finance customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions
- Help define the team's BI strategy
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and processes by automating, scaling or simplifying self-service support
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze large and complex data sets
- Identify patterns in data and make data-driven recommendations to drive topline growth and improve profitability
- Develop an understanding of key business metrics and KPIs and provide clear, compelling analysis
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience in programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data and Python for data processing
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis
