Job description
Aspen Heights British School in Abu Dhabi is looking for a secondary teacher who can cover both Arabic and Islamic, with lessons planned around clear objectives and steady progression. Tasks should challenge pupils and keep interest high, building on prior attainment and identifying SEN and EAL pupils early. Questioning, careful listening and attention to misconceptions shape how lessons run, alongside resources from the library and ICT. Classroom support needs to be deployed well, and pupils are encouraged to think and talk about their learning and work with growing independence. Marking and display standards are high, both in the classroom and around the school. School rules on discipline and dress code are applied consistently, with cultural sensitivity in appearance and conduct. Beyond lessons, you will help develop and monitor subject policy and support the School Improvement Plan. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Education, a PG diploma or QTS, at least 2 years of school experience, and fluent English and Arabic.
