Job description
The Senior Scheduling Control Engineer (Saudization) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed project schedules for large-scale national and international development initiatives in Qassim Province, Saudi Arabia. The role ensures effective project planning, schedule accuracy, and alignment with overall project objectives by collaborating closely with project managers, construction teams, engineering teams, and other stakeholders. The engineer monitors project progress, identifies potential delays or risks, and develops mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery. Responsibilities include analyzing project data, tracking performance trends, and providing regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders. The role also involves managing schedule change requests, ensuring proper documentation and communication of all updates, and maintaining schedule integrity across all phases of project execution. The engineer supports budget and resource planning activities by providing scheduling insights that influence cost and manpower allocation. In addition, the role requires participation in project meetings, contributing to scheduling and control discussions, and supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance project performance. The position requires strong communication skills in both Arabic and English, extensive experience in scheduling control, and the ability to manage complex project timelines across multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards.

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software
- Monitor project progress and identify delays or potential scheduling risks
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to develop mitigation and recovery plans
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to management and project teams
- Analyze project performance data to identify trends and improve scheduling efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to align schedules with project objectives

Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Accounting
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project scheduling and control
- Extensive experience in managing complex project schedules
- Ability to present scheduling plans to senior management and authorities
- Strong negotiation skills with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent communication in Arabic and English
- Experience in national or international major projects
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Knowledge of project management and construction planning tools
