Job description
The Digital Delivery Manager at OQ Exploration and Production (OQEP) in Muscat, Oman is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, enterprise platforms, and enhancements that drive the company’s digital transformation agenda. Acting as the delivery engine for OQEP’s digital strategy, this role oversees project planning, design, build, integration, testing, deployment, and operational handover while ensuring alignment with corporate priorities, cybersecurity standards, and architectural principles. The manager leads cross-functional teams, including solution architects, IT operations, functional leads, and vendors, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Key responsibilities include integrating digital systems with IT, OT, SAP, cloud environments, APIs, and data pipelines, while ensuring high-quality deliverables and operational readiness post-go-live. This role requires managing relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, SaaS providers, system integrators, and consultants, fostering collaboration, adoption, and seamless implementation of digital solutions. Additionally, the Digital Delivery Manager identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and acceleration of delivery cycles, promotes Agile and DevOps practices across teams, and pilots emerging technologies. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in digital project delivery, enterprise system implementation, and cloud solutions, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, particularly within energy, oil & gas, or industrial environments.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, platforms, and enhancements across OQEP.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, vendors, solution architects, and functional leads to ensure cohesive and timely delivery.
- Establish clear timelines, milestones, scope agreements, and resource allocation with stakeholders.
- Ensure all digital solutions comply with IDS strategy, architectural standards, governance, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Oversee planning, execution, progress tracking, risk management, and reporting across multiple digital projects.
- Conduct quality assurance, functional testing, UAT, and post-go-live stabilization for all deliverables.
- Manage integration of digital systems with IT, OT, SAP, cloud, APIs, and enterprise data pipelines.
- Engage and coordinate with vendors, SaaS providers, and implementation partners to ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and business units to control budgets, scope changes, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Foster adoption of Agile and DevOps practices, automation, and continuous improvement in delivery processes.
- Drive innovation, pilot emerging technologies, and implement lessons learned for ongoing digital maturity enhancement.
- Ensure operational readiness, knowledge transfer, documentation completeness, and reliable handover to IT operations teams.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in digital project delivery, IT solution implementation, or program management.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise systems, cloud solutions, automation platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Technical expertise in digital platforms, integration, cloud architectures, enterprise applications, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience in energy, oil & gas, industrial, or large-scale corporate environments is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, contracts, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives under time pressure and drive results.
