Job description
The Workforce Management Senior Specialist - Vendor Operations at Talabat in Dubai is responsible for leading workforce management initiatives and vendor operations across the Local Shops region, including Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, and Iraq. The role focuses on optimizing operational processes, improving performance metrics, and supporting regional and local operations teams to set vendors up for success. This includes tracking new vendor onboarding, auditing catalog cleanup, monitoring inventory integrations, evaluating picker performance, and ensuring compliance with BAU processes. The specialist creates SOPs, tracks BAU activities such as device allocation and uniform ordering, and documents processes and guidelines to standardize operations across markets. The role requires strong vendor operational knowledge, workforce management expertise, and the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive high operational performance.

- Lead the expansion of shopper management initiatives and best practices
- Support regional and local operations teams to improve operational metrics and enable vendor success
- Track operational processes and performance across multiple markets, including vendor onboarding, catalog auditing, inventory integrations, and picker performance
- Support local markets in executing processes and initiatives effectively
- Ensure compliance with BAU processes and tasks for local markets
- Own reporting, documentation, SOPs, and process guides for operational activities
- Create SOPs and track BAU processes such as device allocation and uniform ordering
- Resolve routine issues raised by markets using existing procedures or by improving current processes
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in an operational role
- Strong vendor operational knowledge
- Extensive knowledge in workforce management
- Ability to document processes and guidelines effectively
- Proficiency in working with data and extracting key insights
- Ability to solve operational issues efficiently and escalate when necessary
- Understanding of grocery operations
