Job description
The Manager β People and Change will lead complex Organization Design and Strategic Workforce Planning engagements, delivering high-impact advisory solutions to clients across industries. The role requires end-to-end ownership of consulting engagements, including solution design, governance frameworks, workforce modelling, and executive-level facilitation. The Manager will oversee data-driven insights, ensure delivery excellence, manage client relationships, and drive business development initiatives. This role combines strong technical expertise in operating model and workforce transformation with proven leadership capability in a Big 4 consulting environment, ensuring quality execution, stakeholder alignment, and sustainable organizational outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage Organization Design and Workforce Planning engagements end-to-end, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and client expectations across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Drive the development of organization design solutions by defining design principles, evaluating structural options, refining governance frameworks and decision rights, and overseeing role profiling and role clarity artefacts.
- Lead strategic workforce planning and shaping initiatives, including demand and supply modelling, scenario analysis, capacity planning, skills and capability assessments, and workforce transition strategies.
- Oversee data-driven diagnostics such as spans and layers analysis, benchmarking, workforce analytics, and synthesis of findings into actionable recommendations and implementation roadmaps for senior leadership.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships, including engaging senior stakeholders, resolving issues proactively, managing expectations, and facilitating workshops to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Own engagement governance activities including work planning, resource allocation, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, reporting, and tracking budget inputs to ensure disciplined project execution.
- Lead the preparation and review of high-quality client deliverables including executive presentations, reports, dashboards, and structured storylined outputs with clear recommendations and measurable outcomes.
- Coach, mentor, and performance-manage team members by allocating tasks effectively, providing constructive feedback, and supporting professional development and wellbeing within the team.
- Contribute to business development activities by structuring proposals, preparing pitch materials, supporting account growth strategies, and developing thought leadership assets, tools, and methodologies for the practice.
Experience & skills
- 6β8 years of management consulting experience with significant exposure to leading Organization Design and/or Workforce Planning engagements from diagnostic through implementation phases.
- Mandatory prior experience within a Big 4 consulting firm, including leadership of complex client-facing advisory projects and direct responsibility for engagement delivery and team management.
- Proven expertise in target operating model and organization structure design, including governance frameworks, decision rights matrices, spans and layers diagnostics, and development of role and structure artefacts.
- Demonstrated experience in developing strategic workforce plans, including demand and supply modelling, scenario planning, capability frameworks, capacity modelling, and workforce transition approaches.
- Strong engagement and project management capability, including work planning, resourcing, quality assurance, risk management, and management of interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience contributing to proposal development, engagement economics tracking, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex organizational and workforce concepts clearly and confidently to senior executives.
- Demonstrated leadership behaviours including accountability, collaboration, coaching, and fostering high-performance team environments aligned with firm standards.
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management, Engineering, or related field; Masterβs degree and relevant certifications in organization design, workforce analytics, project/program management, or change management are advantageous.
