Job description
Outstanding EPMS punch list items stand between the project and final handover, and closing them is the job of this EPMS Engineer at Air Products' site in Duba. Every issue goes into a tracker with an owner, target date and status, then gets investigated for root cause and corrected. Technical expertise covers EPMS architecture, hardware, software, networking and integration. Communication problems between EPMS, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, protection relays and meters often need troubleshooting, using protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3 and OPC. Configuration, alarms, events, reports and dashboards are reviewed against project specifications. Test procedures for verification and retesting are developed and witnessed, alongside support for SAT, commissioning and performance testing. Suppliers, system integrators, OEMs and EPC contractors are pushed to resolve defects, and their submissions and software revisions come to you for approval. As-built documentation, manuals and closure of FAT, SAT and readiness comments lead into final handover to operations and maintenance. Candidates bring 5 to 10+ years in electrical power systems, SCADA, EMS or EPMS projects and a Bachelor's in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
