The Assistant Manager - Value Added Tax at BDO UAE is responsible for handling complex VAT advisory and compliance assignments. This role requires leading allocated client projects, managing technical reviews, guiding junior team members, and ensuring quality deliverables in accordance with firm standards. The role involves deep client interaction, proposal development, and contributing to internal technical knowledge sharing. Key responsibilities
- Complete allocated complex VAT advisory and compliance assignments.
- Lead assigned engagements and act as the main client contact.
- Coordinate project plans and timelines with clients.
- Understand client requirements and present solutions effectively.
- Guide and train junior team members on technical and operational aspects.
- Review deliverables to ensure quality prior to senior review.
- Identify VAT advisory issues and draft technical positions.
- Contribute to internal technical discussions and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct regular client meetings and present findings.
- Draft proposals and reports aligned with internal standards.
- Monitor client needs and propose relevant services proactively.
- Take ownership of self-development and accept feedback constructively.
- Support brand visibility initiatives and uphold BDO values.
- Participate in organized training sessions and encourage team engagement.
Experience & skills
- 2-3 years of experience in VAT/GST consulting practice.
- Experience in UAE and KSA VAT regulations is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Capable of drafting high-quality proposals and reports.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in market and practices.
