The Data Solutions/Storage Sales Specialist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia operates within an onsite sales model, working primarily from HPE partner or customer offices to drive enterprise storage and data solutions adoption. The role is responsible for advancing storage-focused sales activities by leveraging the HPE storage portfolio and ecosystem of partners, supporting Account Managers, and acting as a specialist within the sales team. The position requires deep expertise in storage solutions, cloud solutions, ISV solutions, competitive positioning, and evolving industry trends, while maintaining an outside-in view of competitors and market dynamics. The specialist drives proactive pipeline creation through campaigns, identifies and qualifies opportunities, and executes end-to-end sales cycles using internal sales tools, account planning, and pipeline management practices. The role involves developing storage technical solution design, building proposals through to contract sign-off, and applying financial constructs to create business value for customers. The specialist engages in presales coordination, channel partner management, and partner ecosystem management to ensure alignment of solutions across multiple stakeholders. Marketing campaigns for storage solutions are coordinated to ensure alignment with account strategy and sustained pipeline momentum. The role emphasizes translating complex storage technologies into clear business outcomes for customers, using buyer personas and IT industry trends analysis to tailor messaging. The specialist also evaluates feasibility assessments for opportunities, ensuring alignment between technical requirements and business needs. Operating in a competitive enterprise environment, the role requires continuous monitoring of competitor offerings, leveraging HPE differentiators in storage, cloud, and data solutions to maximize revenue and expand HPE’s footprint in assigned accounts and territories.

Key responsibilities
- Drive sales of storage products and data solutions across assigned territories, industries, or accounts while achieving revenue and pipeline targets
- Actively prospect and develop new storage opportunities within existing and new enterprise accounts using structured sales methodologies
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using internal sales tools and account planning frameworks
- Execute end-to-end pursuit strategies including qualification, opportunity development, negotiation support, and closure of storage deals
- Develop and expand solution offerings by identifying opportunities for product and service attachments and upselling within accounts
- Coordinate presales activities with account managers, channel partners, and technical teams to ensure effective solution delivery
- Engage and manage channel partners to enable storage technologies and co-sell solutions to end customers
- Support digital and marketing campaigns related to storage solutions to ensure alignment with account strategies and market engagement
- Prepare and deliver proposals through to contract sign-off while ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements
- Collaborate across HPE teams to deliver integrated end-to-end storage and data solutions aligned with customer needs
Experience & skills
- University or Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field
- 2–5+ years of sales experience in enterprise or technology sales environments
- Demonstrated experience in storage-related sales or data solutions sales is preferred
- Strong understanding of storage solutions, cloud solutions, and enterprise IT infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of HPE storage portfolio and related data solution ecosystems is required
- Ability to use internal sales tools and manage structured sales pipelines effectively
- Understanding of account planning, presales coordination, and channel partner engagement processes
- Ability to evaluate solution feasibility from technical and business perspectives within enterprise environments
