At least 15 years in HSE is required, including exposure to EPC on major oil and gas projects and the last 5 years in a senior HSE position with reputable operators in an offshore environment. Candidates also need a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, a master's being preferable, and membership of a recognised professional engineering or HSE institution.
