Job description
du's Commercial Procurement team buys outsourced managed services, professional services and general corporate categories, and this Dubai-based manager role is open to UAE Nationals. Category sourcing strategies set by management are carried through into practice, backed by analysis of the supply base, market conditions, pricing trends and competitive benchmarks. Tenders run on RFP/RFQ processes through digital procurement platforms, tracked against agreed timelines. Contract negotiations are led directly, aiming for best value and keeping sourcing projects within budget targets. Agreements range from complex long-term strategic deals to short-term transactional and project-based contracts, with legal and commercial matters addressed promptly. Savings are reported and monthly Oracle ERP reports validated, while supplier performance and KPIs go to management weekly. IT, Network, Finance, Legal, Quality, Service Operations and FLM teams are close partners, and satisfaction surveys after each RFP show how well they are served. Standard, blanket, consignment and contract POs are reviewed for data integrity, and internal audits are supported when needed. Expect to bring 5 to 7 years of procurement and sourcing experience, category management expertise in IT or Network services, strong contract law knowledge and excellent English, with Arabic and telecoms experience preferred.
