Job description
GEMS Education seeks a dedicated Head of Inclusion to join its leadership team in Al Ain, UAE starting August 2025. The role focuses on championing inclusive practices and ensuring high-quality support for students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will help foster a supportive school environment through effective leadership, staff collaboration, and the implementation of best practices aligned with current research in special education.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices across the school
- Ensure compliance with educational standards for SEN and inclusion
- Support teaching staff in adapting curricula to meet diverse student needs
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing professional development for staff on inclusion strategies
- Collaborate with families, external specialists, and educational authorities
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion programs
- Promote a school-wide culture of equity, empathy, and respect for diversity
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inclusion or SEN leadership roles
- Proven experience implementing inclusive education frameworks
- Bachelorās degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Masterās degree preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience in international or multicultural school settings is advantageous
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding policies
