Key responsibilities
- Direct the development and execution of global marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, public relations, internal communication, regulatory communications, and corporate events.
- Establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employee and customer engagement.
- Ensure new communication campaigns and programs are aimed at reaching sales targets.
- Manage brand delivery and consistency across all markets and product lines.
- Build and manage the corporate communications budget.
- Lead and manage the Corporate Communications team including graphic designers, media specialists, and copywriters.
- Supervise advertising campaigns and collaborate with internal departments such as sales, finance, and creative teams.
- Perform market research, organize focus groups, set campaign goals, and develop concepts and storyboards.
- Approve copywriting and manage campaign budgets.
- Lead the development of quarterly brand themes aligned with business objectives.
- Direct measurable multi-channel marketing programs tied to brand strategy.
- Monitor marketing trends and competitor products to ensure market relevance.
- Meet with clients and senior management regularly to align on marketing direction.
- Lead social media strategy and manage 24/7 social channel coverage for Ooredoo Kuwait.
- Guide and support the social media team with tactical direction.
- Stay updated on industry developments and innovations.
- Identify employee training needs and provide personal coaching.
- Ensure completion of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and conduct annual performance reviews.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor degree in Mass Communication, Media, Advertising or related discipline.
- Qualification in Digital Marketing is an added advantage.
- 8ā9 years of experience in advertising or promotional activities, preferably in the telecommunications sector.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Kuwaiti advertising and media sector.
- Creative flair and excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to measure campaign results and make informed improvements.
- Ability to operate in a multicultural, multinational work environment.
- Good command of MS Office applications like Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated skills in creative thinking, analytics, project management, budgeting, multichannel marketing, and SEO.
