Job description
The Splunk Solutions Architect - Observability in Dubai, UAE, is a critical technical pre-sales role within Splunk, a Cisco company. The role focuses on supporting commercial and public sector clients across multiple industries by providing expert guidance on Splunk’s unified observability solutions. The architect partners with account teams to align technical capabilities with sales strategies, delivering briefings, demos, proposals, Proof of Values (POVs), integrations, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include establishing strong client and partner relationships, engaging with customers to map their IT challenges and business objectives to Splunk observability solutions, and demonstrating products both onsite and remotely, including at field events such as conferences and trade shows. The position requires understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, proficiency in shell scripting, system administration fundamentals, and familiarity with application architectures like microservices, layered, and event-driven systems. The architect contributes to dynamic technical delivery, applying organized and analytical approaches to overcome sales obstacles creatively and adaptively, and may travel up to 50% of the time to visit prospects and customers in the region.

Key responsibilities
- Partner with Splunk account teams to provide pre-sales technical expertise for observability solutions, including briefings, demos, proposals, Proof of Values (POVs), and integrations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to ensure alignment of IT solutions with business objectives.
- Engage directly with customers to understand IT challenges and map them to Splunk observability product capabilities.
- Demonstrate Splunk observability products and services onsite, remotely via webinars, and at conferences, trade shows, and field events.
- Collaborate with account teams to support sales strategies, providing technical solutions to overcome obstacles creatively and adaptively.
- Assist in responding to public tenders including RFIs and RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
- Apply analytical and structured approaches to technical problem-solving and contribute to the growth of the customer base.
- Support integrations, system configuration, and application of Splunk observability tools to client environments.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer, systems integrator, or equivalent role within Observability and AIOps domains.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with experience mapping solutions to these environments.
- Understanding of common application architectures including Microservices, Layered, and Event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and system administration fundamentals.
- Familiarity with public tenders, RFIs, and RFPs for technical solutions.
- Strong collaboration, presentation, and technical communication skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages and ability to provide guidance for integrations and technical demonstrations.
- Willingness and availability to travel up to 50% to meet prospects and customers in the region.
