Job description
The Area Visual Merchandiser at GMG Sports in Dubai is responsible for elevating the customer experience and bringing brand identity to life across multiple stores. This role requires designing and executing visual merchandising displays for seasonal launches, promotions, and new product introductions while ensuring brand consistency and adherence to visual standards. The Area Visual Merchandiser conducts regular store visits to audit displays, evaluates effectiveness, provides improvement recommendations, and trains store teams on best practices. The role involves close collaboration with sales, retail, and marketing teams to align displays with campaigns and commercial priorities. Additionally, the Area Visual Merchandiser manages all VM materials, tools, and display props, analyzes sales and customer traffic data to optimize product placement, and ensures that retail performance metrics are positively impacted by visual merchandising initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Design and implement visual merchandising displays for seasonal product launches, promotional campaigns, and new arrivals across multiple stores.
- Ensure consistent application of brand standards and visual merchandising guidelines in all assigned retail locations.
- Conduct regular store visits to audit displays, assess effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train, guide, and mentor store teams on visual merchandising principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with sales, retail, and marketing teams to ensure displays support commercial objectives and campaign messaging.
- Manage, organize, and maintain all visual merchandising materials, props, and tools for use across stores.
- Analyze sales performance and customer traffic data to optimize in-store layouts, product placement, and visual strategies.
- Adapt visual merchandising approaches to reflect emerging trends, seasonal changes, and evolving retail priorities.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in visual merchandising within retail environments.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and brand-aligned design thinking.
- Proven ability to plan and execute multi-store visual merchandising projects.
- Effective communication and training skills to support store teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
- Understanding of retail performance metrics and the impact of visual merchandising on sales.
- Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi is an advantage.
