Job description
Cloudflare, a leading name in internet security and performance, is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead its commercial expansion in Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Dubai or London, this leadership role is central to scaling Cloudflare’s new business revenues across market segments by managing a team of Account Executives (AEs). This position requires deep experience in strategic sales management, regional go-to-market execution, and channel growth. Candidates must have a proven track record in the SaaS, Cloud, or Cybersecurity industries, with a robust network and understanding of market dynamics in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Drive exceptional sales growth across Sub-Saharan Africa
- Lead and coach a team of Account Executives to meet targets
- Own and manage KPIs, forecasts, and CRM reporting in Salesforce
- Develop and execute territory and GTM strategies across all segments
- Recruit and onboard top-tier sales talent for the region
- Collaborate with sales support teams including Ops, Marketing, BDRs, and Channels
- Define and execute optimal vertical/geographical coverage plans
- Build and manage strong relationships with key partners and clients
- Lead pipeline reviews, deal reviews, and regional performance tracking
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and kick-offs
- Document and iterate on sales best practices and playbooks
- Represent Cloudflare in industry forums and networking events
- Enable cross-functional collaboration to increase brand awareness and adoption
Experience & skills
- Minimum 20 years of total sales experience, with 10+ in Sub-Saharan Africa
- 5+ years of experience managing quota-carrying sales teams
- Track record in SaaS, cloud, or cybersecurity solution sales
- Experience handling fast-paced, high-volume pipelines with strategic upsell
- Deep understanding of regional market dynamics and customer segmentation
- Hands-on leadership with balance between strategy and execution
- Strong channel and partner relationship management in SSA
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Salesforce and sales enablement tools
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required; MBA/MIS is a plus
