Job description
The Senior Executive - Financial Planning and Analysis role at Dubai Holding Real Estate is responsible for supporting Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting and budgeting activities across the business while recommending and implementing best practices for budgeting and MIS reporting procedures to maintain financial control, enhance profitability, and support business units. The role operates within Dubai Holding Real Estate’s master developer environment, supporting large-scale real estate developments, land sales portfolio, project management, and facilities management operations. The position involves supporting development of budget plans and schedules in line with Group policies and coordinating with departments to prepare annual budgets, monitoring implementation, and supporting recalibration and forecasting processes. The role includes preparing periodic and ad hoc Management Information Reports, developing KPI reporting systems, performing variance analysis against budgeted figures, and investigating financial variances. The candidate will analyze monthly operational performance reports, forecast budget exceptions, and contribute to development of budgeting policies, reporting structures, templates, and financial controls. The position also requires maintaining and modifying financial models, supporting budgeting and planning tools, and assisting in development of MIS systems in coordination with departments. The role requires maintaining control over Hyperion Budgeting software, identifying issues, and coordinating with technical teams. The candidate must have experience in finance within real estate or budgeting environments, proficiency in Microsoft Excel with complex data analysis and modeling, knowledge of Oracle, MIS systems, financial reporting, general ledger management, KPI reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis, along with strong analytical skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Key responsibilities
- Support development of annual budget plans and schedules in line with Group policies and coordinate with departments to ensure timely preparation and implementation of budgets
- Act as liaison between entity heads, department leaders, and finance teams to collate financial information required for budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc Management Information System (MIS) reports and develop KPI reporting systems to support management decision-making
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results with budgeted figures and investigate deviations to support cost control and performance monitoring
- Analyze monthly operational performance metrics, identify budgetary exceptions, and support forecasting and budget recalibration activities
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgetary and business analysis ensuring accuracy of assumptions and financial projections
- Maintain and manage Hyperion Budgeting software ensuring accurate budget preparation, monitoring, and issue resolution with technical teams
- Support development of budgeting policies, reporting structures, and financial controls while enhancing MIS and reporting systems
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance with professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA or similar preferred
- Possess 3–5 years of experience in finance, budgeting, or financial planning with preference for real estate industry experience
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex data analysis, modeling, and financial calculations
- Possess working knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), Oracle, and budgeting software including Hyperion
- Demonstrate experience managing general ledger accounts and financial reporting including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow analysis
- Show strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage financial variances
- Demonstrate ability to work in fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines and reporting cycles
- Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills in English and ability to collaborate across departments
