Job description
The AVP, Investments Product Manager at Citi UAE is responsible for managing the bankās local investment product offerings within the wealth management portfolio, with a focus on mutual funds, secured lending, structured notes, and alternative investments. The role plays a critical part in enhancing product performance, optimizing client experience, and driving revenue growth in alignment with country and regional strategies. The incumbent will design and implement investment campaigns, oversee RM tactical initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to increase investment penetration and active client engagement. This position requires a deep understanding of portfolio management, asset allocation, financial markets, and risk management, as well as the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable strategies. The AVP will ensure operational excellence, audit compliance, and continuous improvement of investment processes while maintaining alignment with Citiās global governance framework.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end investment product offering for mutual funds, secured lending, structured notes, and alternative investments in alignment with Citiās wealth management strategy.
- Design and implement investment campaigns and RM tactical initiatives to increase client investment penetration and active participation.
- Develop and maintain differentiated segment-specific product propositions aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address client experience issues and deliver tangible improvements across product touchpoints.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as investment penetration, investor profiles, and new investment accounts to drive business awareness and performance.
- Ensure timely renewal and governance of product programs, process manuals, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of booking systems and coordinate system enhancements with regional teams.
- Partner with Investment Operations to ensure seamless processing, documentation completeness, and compliance with audit standards.
- Support front-line Relationship Managers by providing timely product insights, materials, and client servicing support.
- Ensure audit readiness, compliance with Citi policies, and satisfactory ratings in internal/external reviews.
- Collaborate with regional product teams to align local processes with broader regional and global product strategies.
- Engage with the Advisory team to integrate product strategies and model portfolios into the advisory framework.
- Monitor and analyze the local competitive landscape to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for product optimization.
- Provide regular reporting on KPIs and business performance to management and stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- UAE National (mandatory).
- University graduate in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline; CFA or Masterās degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in investment product management, investment advisory, insurance, or investment operations.
- Experience within a wealth management or financial institution, preferably within Citi or similar organizations.
- Strong understanding of financial products including mutual funds, structured products, secured lending, and alternative investments.
- Deep knowledge of portfolio management and asset allocation principles.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and risk management standards in product development and sales processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ideally Bloomberg or Morningstar Direct.
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Results-oriented with entrepreneurial mindset, client focus, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment, maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
