Buildings across QatarEnergy's engineering projects need mechanical services designed properly, and this Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services) provides that technical design and engineering. Typical scope covers HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems, from design basis and calculations through drawings and specifications. Designs and deliverables, including those from consultants and contractors, are reviewed against relevant codes, standards and QatarEnergy procedures. Quality, schedule, cost and HSE all have to be balanced across several projects at once. Clear communication and presentations to project teams and stakeholders are part of the job. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical or building services engineering and 10 years of relevant postgraduate experience, including 6 in oil and gas, with Chartered or Professional Engineer status preferred.
