Job description
Bank ABC is seeking to recruit a Senior Relationship Manager for its Wholesale Banking Department, based in the DIFC Branch in Dubai, UAE. The role is focused on managing and growing relationships with UAE Local Corporate clients, including onboarding new mid-to-large corporates, and contributing to the UAE strategy by leveraging the bank's products and services. The candidate will manage a portfolio, originate deals, and ensure full coordination with internal stakeholders to deliver on revenue and compliance targets.

Key responsibilities
- Support UAE Local Corporate Unitās growth and strategy through sourcing new accounts and onboarding Mid to Large Corporates
- Deal independently with stakeholders and present proposals to internal senior committees
- Manage and grow a portfolio of UAE Local Corporate clients to meet financial targets
- Coordinate marketing of products and services and plan structured client engagement
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and economic indicators
- Monitor client account activity and early warning indicators
- Ensure provision of high-quality and timely client services
- Prepare complete credit documentation and work with Credit Admin to avoid security shortfalls
- Inspect pledged collateral periodically to minimize credit risk
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, audit findings, and compliance requirements
- Explore risk sharing opportunities with competitor banks
- Meet UAE Corporate Coverage budgetary targets and optimize client RAROC
- Manage overall credit and compliance risk within board-approved limits
- Represent Corporate Coverage on internal senior management committees
- Drive business integration across Wholesale Banking units and coverage
- Engage with regulators and ensure regulatory compliance for the Corporate Coverage function
- Support refinement and implementation of UAE Corporate Coverage strategy in coordination with unit managers
Experience & skills
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in corporate or investment banking
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field; additional tertiary qualifications a plus
- Demonstrated track record in UAE Local Corporate client segment
- Strong existing relationships with senior decision-makers in UAE corporates
- Deep understanding of UAE and broader GCC market landscape
- Comprehensive knowledge of wholesale banking products including trade finance, Islamic finance, structured finance, capital markets, and treasury
- Experience coordinating internal stakeholders and delivering āOne Bankā strategy
- Proven ability to manage large client portfolios and drive cross-sell of banking solutions
- Strong compliance awareness and familiarity with regulatory frameworks in UAE
