Job description
Lesson plans go to the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator ahead of time, and that planning shapes the week for this English Teacher at Park House English School in Doha. Materials, monthly assessments and grading follow the objectives set out at the start of the year. Grade books must stay current, with marks entered before each evaluation and semester deadline. Classrooms are decorated with lesson, activity and holiday materials, and playground supervision duties rotate. Students with academic, behavioural or socio-emotional needs, including gifted learners, are supported with the Psychology Department and Academic Coordinator. Parents are kept involved through meetings, special events and PTA activities. Community service projects, fundraising, fairs and student subcommittees add to the school year. Safeguarding vetting includes references and Criminal Background Checks covering the previous 10 years. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Education, Psychology or a related field, at least 2 years in education and fluent English, with a Master's preferred.
