Job description
The FP&A Analyst on a 6-month temporary contract with Masdar in Abu Dhabi will support the Finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis across the group. This role provides essential support for internal and external stakeholder reporting, including management, executive leadership, Board of Directors, and shareholders. The analyst will prepare management reports, budgets, financial forecasts, business plans, and performance scorecards, ensuring consistency with corporate objectives and compliance requirements. Additionally, the role involves analyzing financial performance, identifying key business drivers, providing meaningful commentary, and recommending opportunities to optimize financial outcomes. The position is ideal for a qualified finance professional who can quickly contribute to Masdarās ambitious renewable energy portfolio growth and reporting excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Support preparation of group management reports for internal and external stakeholders, including executives, Board of Directors, and shareholders.
- Assist in the development of group financial forecasts and budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
- Prepare and maintain performance scorecards and key financial metrics for senior management review.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing commentary on variances and business drivers.
- Provide actionable recommendations to management to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requests as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate provision of financial and performance information to stakeholders.
- Support compliance with corporate reporting standards and internal controls.
- Collaborate with business units to consolidate financial data and insights for decision-making.
- Assist in enhancing financial reporting processes, templates, and tools for efficiency and accuracy.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) is an asset.
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and Excel skills.
- Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and commentary.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for reporting to senior management.
- Availability to start immediately preferred.
