Job description
The Project Interface Coordinator serves as the Lead Site Representative for RLC, facilitating the implementation of major industrial development projects in Ras Laffan Industrial City. The role involves close collaboration with local City-based functions under IM(L) and the Central Engineering function under IE to ensure successful execution of technical and engineering projects. The position requires extensive experience in project implementation within major oil and gas companies and involves working with multiple stakeholders, including senior technical and management personnel from QatarEnergy and associated organizations. The coordinator ensures alignment between on-site activities and central engineering requirements, maintaining operational standards and addressing interface challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the Lead Site Representative for RLC, overseeing the implementation of industrial development projects
- Facilitate collaboration between local City-based functions under IM(L) and Central Engineering function under IE
- Coordinate technical and engineering project activities to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards
- Serve as the primary interface with senior technical and management personnel in QatarEnergy and other stakeholders
- Monitor project progress on-site and communicate effectively with all project teams to resolve interface issues
- Provide guidance on project execution, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications, safety standards, and operational protocols
- Support decision-making processes by providing timely information, reports, and recommendations to management
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all project coordination activities
Experience & skills
- Graduate degree in engineering from a recognized educational institute or university
- Minimum 20 years of experience in major oil and gas companies in technical or engineering project implementation roles
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior technical and management personnel
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills for cross-functional and stakeholder coordination
- Extensive experience in coordinating major industrial development projects, preferably in Ras Laffan Industrial City
- Understanding of interface management between local and central engineering functions
- Ability to oversee project execution, monitor progress, and resolve on-site technical and operational issues
- Competence in reporting, documentation, and providing recommendations for project decision-making
