Job description
As Assistant Manager - ICAAP, you will contribute to market risk frameworks and stress testing processes, ensuring the bankās compliance with regulatory requirements and internal capital adequacy planning. You will play a key role in analyzing market and credit risk exposures, designing stress test scenarios, and supporting the ICAAP reporting cycle. This position requires collaboration across Market Risk, Finance, and Treasury functions and involves maintaining audit-ready documentation and supporting regulatory submissions to the UAE Central Bank.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and execution of market risk frameworks and pre-impairment profit stress testing
- Design earnings stress approach incorporating profit rate shocks and macroeconomic scenario overlays
- Analyze market risk exposures, including rate, credit spread, FX, equity, and optionality risks
- Build scenario-based stress testing using full revaluation, delta-normal, and other methodologies
- Conduct historical, hypothetical, and reverse stress testing aligned with Shariah-compliant profiles
- Quantify impacts on capital and income under stress scenarios
- Support risk-based decision-making through scenario analysis and contribute to ICAAP exercises
- Ensure validation, documentation, and audit-readiness of stress testing models
- Collaborate with Finance and Treasury to align stress testing with capital planning
- Support FRTB implementation for market risk RWA using Standardized Approach
- Map exposures per FRTB boundary rules and categorize risk factors appropriately
- Monitor FRTB eligibility and regulatory treatment of Sukuks
- Assist with regulatory queries and alignment with Basel III/IV updates
- Contribute to Pillar 3, QIS, ICAAP, RRP, and FSU Stress Testing reporting requirements
Experience & skills
- In-depth understanding of Basel III market risk capital rules including FRTB SA, LCR, NSFR, PRRBB
- Strong knowledge of market risk metrics such as VaR, sensitivities, and earnings-based risk analysis
- Hands-on experience with stress testing methodologies and capital impact analysis
- Familiarity with full revaluation engines, delta-normal models, and curvature approximations
- Experience with FRTB frameworks, boundary rules, and standardized/internal model approaches
- Knowledge of Sukuks and Islamic Derivative Products
- Strong technical skills in Python, R, or SAS for modeling and analysis
