Job description
The UX Lead role drives user experience design across web and mobile platforms using a human-centered and data-driven methodology. Responsibilities include evaluating user requirements with business analysts and contributing to functional specifications, applying User-Centered Design (UCD) processes, and rapidly testing and iterating based on usability testing. The role involves researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and testing digital product experiences and translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to ensure intuitive interactions. The position provides visual and interaction design optimized for varied devices and interfaces, identifies design problems, and devises elegant solutions while making strategic UX decisions for core and new features. The role requires collaboration with innovation teams, data specialists, product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, external suppliers, and internal departments to design robust solutions. It also aligns with other UX Leads to standardize tools and solutions, assesses usability through A/B testing, troubleshoots usability issues, and champions user-centric design for emerging technologies, including autonomous systems and LLM-powered conversational interfaces. The UX Lead demonstrates rapid prototyping capability using modern tools and frameworks, applies design thinking to complex problems, and integrates UX best practices into advanced platforms.

- Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with business analysts and contribute to functional specifications.
- Apply User-Centered Design processes and iterate designs based on usability testing results.
- Research, conceive, sketch, prototype, and test digital product experiences to support business vision.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes enabling intuitive UX.
- Deliver visual and interaction design optimized for multiple devices and interfaces.
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Make strategic UX decisions for core and new product features.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers to design and implement solutions.
- Align with other UX Leads to create synergies and standardize tools and design solutions.
- Conduct regular A/B testing to assess application usability and propose improvements.
- Troubleshoot usability issues across applications and sites.
- Champion user-centric design for emerging technologies including autonomous systems and LLM-powered conversational interfaces.
- Demonstrate rapid prototyping capability using modern tools and frameworks.
- Apply design thinking principles to complex problems to deliver scalable solutions.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate UX best practices into advanced products and platforms.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, or Commerce.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with key roles in UX and UI design.
- Have experience in the airline industry (advantageous).
- Demonstrate strong understanding of software development lifecycle and software quality assurance processes.
- Show expertise in UX design tools such as Invision and Axure.
- Demonstrate expertise in HTML, CSS, and related front-end libraries.
