Job description
The Senior Manager – Project Management will oversee large-scale, global Noatum Ports projects from deal signing through mobilization of country-specific project teams. The role ensures effective mobilization of business and asset work streams, optimizes project value, manages costs, and facilitates cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include establishing integrated project schedules, resource planning, procurement strategies, change control, and risk mitigation, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position also involves early engagement with the Business Development team to ensure business cases are implementable and the smooth handover of responsibilities, contributing to the development of project management best practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Noatum Ports projects from deal signing until local project team mobilization.
- Optimize value through execution phase mobilization, ensuring cross-functional tradeoffs are made.
- Drive cost-effective use of external consultants and contractors.
- Engage proactively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.
- Implement and manage an integrated project schedule.
- Establish realistic resource plans and mobilize on-location project teams.
- Lead assigned project team resources to achieve deliverables.
- Define work package and tender strategy with Asset delivery team and Procurement.
- Identify and escalate issues and opportunities early for leadership attention.
- Control scope changes and assess impacts before pursuing them.
- Ensure project reporting and documentation are maintained.
- Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Engage early with Business Development team to ensure business case feasibility and smooth handover.
- Facilitate BD team input with operational experience.
- Establish scope, business case, and timeline baselines.
- Contribute to project management practice development at Noatum Ports.
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships.
- Recruit and select local project teams.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolutions among stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, CBA, or similar) advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead complex, global projects.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with integrated project scheduling and resource planning.
- Expertise in procurement strategy and scope/change management.
- Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in the ports, maritime, or logistics industry preferred.
