Job description
du's Enterprise and Commercial teams sign a steady stream of ICT, partnership and data agreements, and this Dubai-based Senior Legal Counsel is their focal legal contact. Advice is practical and commercially focused, aimed at helping the business move while managing risk. Drafting and negotiation cover commercial and enterprise agreements, ICT and technology contracts, partnership and manpower agreements, data sharing agreements, NDAs and MOUs. Standard templates, including General Terms and Conditions (GTCs), are updated periodically, and the NDA/MOU automation process is managed here. Sensitive security and confidentiality matters call for a high degree of discretion. Across the organisation, general legal advisory support is given wherever needed, with legal and commercial risks identified early. External counsel are coordinated when required, with attention to quality and cost. Legal training for business units and improvements to Legal Department policies and processes also form part of the role. Expect to bring an LLB or equivalent, at least 7 years in an in-house or UAE law firm role focused on commercial contracts, and strong English drafting, with Arabic and telecoms experience desirable.
