Job description
The Elite Acquisition Manager ā Affluent Banking at Standard Chartered is responsible for driving growth in the bankās high-net-worth client segment by acquiring New-to-Bank (NTB) affluent customers. The role focuses on leveraging the Priority Private proposition and the bankās global brand to attract and onboard qualified clients, ensuring a seamless experience from acquisition to relationship handover. The manager will utilize leads from strategic partnerships, campaigns, and high-profile networking events to build the Priority Private portfolio, aligning client onboarding with the bankās affluent strategy while maintaining portfolio quality and compliance with conduct and risk standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the bankās affluent client growth agenda through acquisition of high-value New-to-Bank (NTB) clients for the Priority Private segment
- Present and position the bankās affluent proposition to potential high-net-worth individuals at events, campaigns, and partner activations
- Utilize strategic partnerships, alliances, referrals, and targeted campaigns to generate qualified leads and build a sustainable acquisition pipeline
- Ensure that newly onboarded clients meet the Priority Private segment criteria for long-term portfolio quality and profitability
- Activate NTB clients and provide onboarding support, including guidance on digital banking channels and relationship setup
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of clients to the Priority Banking relationship teams
- Deepen new client relationships early by cross-selling multi-product solutions to enhance stickiness and wallet share
- Monitor onboarding quality and ensure compliance with the bankās conduct, risk, and client suitability policies
- Represent the bank at networking events, industry gatherings, and client engagement forums to promote the brand and build relationships
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports on client acquisition activities and results
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field
- Previous direct sales experience in the UAE market, ideally within affluent or priority banking segments
- Strong understanding of deposit and liability products in the UAE
- Proven track record in acquiring and managing high-net-worth clients
- Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills
- Ability to deliver results under pressure in a target-driven environment
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences
- Knowledge of local market dynamics, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities in affluent banking
- Adherence to conduct and risk management principles
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while aligning with team objectives and organizational goals
