Job description
The Director - Power Phase 2 at Qiddiya Investment Company will oversee the development, execution, and management of power infrastructure for the second phase of the Qiddiya project. This senior leadership role requires expertise in energy generation, distribution, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on incorporating renewable energy and sustainability practices. The director will lead project teams, manage contractors, engage stakeholders, oversee financial planning, and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of power systems that align with national and international standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of power systems for Phase 2 of Qiddiya.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensure deliverables meet national and international safety and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and policies for power projects.
- Develop strategies to integrate renewable energy and sustainability into power systems.
- Liaise with government and regulatory bodies to secure permits and approvals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners for system integration.
- Prepare and manage budgets for Phase 2 power projects, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Develop financial models and investment proposals, including cost-benefit analyses.
- Build, lead, and mentor the power project team to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Define operational metrics and KPIs for power systems to ensure reliable supply.
- Establish maintenance and operational protocols to optimize performance.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s or PE license preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in power generation and distribution.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in energy sector project management, especially renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
