Job description
The System Specialist – Commission Operations role within du is responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting end-to-end sales commission and incentive operations within a large-scale telecommunications environment. The role requires deep understanding of du’s product catalogues, sales hierarchies, systems, and data streams to translate business and system requirements into formal sales incentive and commission scheme documentation and change requests for implementation within the commission calculation platform, currently SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management. The position owns commission rule development, rate configuration, and execution of daily, monthly, and quarterly commission calculations, including validation of results and posting of payments. The role is accountable for generating VAT and tax invoices for sales partners, processing commission credit and debit notes into Finance ERP systems, and supporting accounting teams with commission accrual calculations, postings, and reversals to ensure accurate financial statements and reporting. A strong analytics focus is required to enhance commission reporting and deliver actionable insights to business and finance stakeholders, including the development and execution of dynamic Oracle and HANA SQL scripts, procedures, and queries to meet evolving reporting needs. The role acts as first-level technical support for commission-related systems, translating business requirements into technical specifications and managing end-to-end change requests and projects from requirements gathering through solution design, documentation, testing, validation, and production deployment. Additionally, the role serves as second-level support for business teams on commission disputes, managing commission adjustments end-to-end. The position operates across consumer and enterprise sales environments, interfaces between business and technology teams, and requires strong expertise in incentive compensation, analytics, reporting systems, databases, ERP, CRM, billing platforms, and structured project delivery within a telecom context.
