Job description
The Associate Agile Coach role in Dubai is responsible for driving organizational Agile maturity by fostering a culture grounded in Agile principles, tools, and techniques. The position contributes to process improvements within Agile chapters, focusing on enhancing ways of working and embedding innovation across teams. The Associate Agile Coach will identify improvement areas within 2ā3 squads across a Tribe or Platform, implementing measures to increase Agile adoption and performance. This includes coaching squad members to achieve autonomy, run ceremonies, and maintain Agile practices independently, without reliance on a dedicated Scrum Master. The role also involves designing and delivering Agile training sessions, tracking progress through maturity assessments, and reporting to senior Agile Coaches and stakeholders. Candidates are expected to have technical and project management knowledge, experience in Agile environments, and a strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. This position plays a key part in embedding Agile thinking and continuous improvement within a growing digital organization in the UAE.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify and analyze improvement areas within assigned squads to enhance Agile maturity and performance
- Implement targeted process and workflow improvements for squads across designated Tribes or Platforms
- Coach squad members in Agile principles and practices to foster autonomy and self-organization
- Guide squads in conducting Agile ceremonies and maintaining best practices without a dedicated Scrum Master
- Deliver Agile training sessions to squads and broader organizational audiences as required
- Monitor and measure the maturity progression of squads, compiling regular progress reports for Agile Coaches and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Agile processes, frameworks, and methodologies within the organization
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation aligned with Agile values and principles
- Work closely with Agile Coaches to align squad-level improvements with organizational transformation goals
Experience & skills
- UAE National role requirement
- Bachelorās degree with technical coursework in programming/coding and project management
- 1ā3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Engineer within an Agile organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong conceptual and strategic thinking abilities with an aptitude for innovation and analytical problem-solving
- Proven ability to coach teams toward autonomy and Agile self-organization
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills with a collaborative leadership approach
- Understanding of Agile frameworks, ceremonies, and tools used in scaling Agile environments
- Commitment to integrity, flexibility, and continuous process improvement within technology and product teams
