Job description
The Senior Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist at Gulf International Bank in Khobar is responsible for designing, implementing, reviewing, and maintaining technical security controls and processes across the bank’s cyber defense infrastructure. The role includes system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications, prioritizing and coordinating protection of critical resources, maintaining awareness of emerging threats, and applying regulatory and control frameworks including CIS 20, PCI DSS, ISO, and COBIT. The specialist performs periodic security reviews, vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, implements security policies, manages documentation, supports incident response and forensic investigations, generates technical reports, and ensures compliance with regulatory and commercial requirements.

- Design, implement, and review technical security controls and processes related to cybersecurity infrastructure
- Apply security policies to meet system security objectives and regulatory requirements
- Perform system administration on specialized cybersecurity applications and systems
- Identify, prioritize, and coordinate protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and resources
- Maintain awareness of emerging threats and evolving threat landscape
- Manage and administer updating of rules and signatures for cyber defense applications
- Maintain understanding of CIS 20 Critical Controls, PCI DSS, ISO, and COBIT frameworks
- Implement risk management framework and security assessment requirements for cyber defense systems
- Perform periodic security reviews of networks, infrastructure, and applications
- Build, install, configure, patch, and test cyber defense hardware and software
- Assist in assessing the impact of implementing and sustaining cyber defense infrastructure
- Prepare change management documentation, process ownership, and authority records
- Document Information Security policies, procedures, and security controls
- Participate in incident response processes and forensic investigations when required
- Generate reports on potential security violations, unauthorized use, fraud, and performance gaps
- Correlate incident data to identify vulnerabilities
- Conduct technical risk and vulnerability assessments and continuous monitoring
- Carry out vulnerability scanning on systems and assets
- Participate in industry education and networking events to maintain professional relationships
