Job description
KBR Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Project Lead for a PMC role on a major offshore oil and gas project. This role will oversee engineering and execution for Wellhead Towers, subsea cables, piping, and brownfield/greenfield scopes, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budget, and schedule requirements. Candidates must have extensive offshore project experience and a track record in managing large-scale FEED/EPC projects exceeding USD 1 billion.

Key responsibilities
- Lead project execution for offshore Wellhead Towers, subsea cable, and piping works
- Oversee detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface with clients and contractors
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for mega offshore FEED/EPC projects
- Ensure technical quality and safety compliance in all deliverables
- Provide expertise in offshore engineering solutions and problem resolution
- Review and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Facilitate communication between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met
- Report progress, risks, and mitigation measures to senior management
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory)
- Minimum 18+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
- At least 5 years of offshore project experience (mandatory)
- Proven expertise in Wellhead Tower, subsea cable, and piping engineering/specification
- Experience in brownfield and greenfield offshore facilities
- Minimum 5 years in a similar leadership role for mega projects (> USD 1 billion)
- Strong understanding of FEED and EPC project lifecycles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
