Job description
Aldar's Group Digital Futures team builds AI and analytics that feed directly into business processes and digital products, and this Abu Dhabi-based AVP designs and productionises those solutions. Business problems are framed as data science projects with clear hypotheses, success metrics and validation methods. Structured and unstructured data is explored and prepared in Python and SQL, often on Databricks. Models cover regression, classification, clustering, NLP and forecasting, built with scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. Productionisation happens with engineering and platform teams through reproducible pipelines and CI/CD, using tools like MLflow, Airflow, Docker and Kubernetes. Explainability matters here, with SHAP, LIME and feature importance used to keep models transparent, and Model Risk Management (MRM) governs responsible use. A/B tests and controlled experiments measure model and feature impact, and post-deployment performance is monitored with Data Product Owners. Results are communicated through visualisation and storytelling for both technical and business audiences. Expect to bring 6+ years in data science or applied machine learning with models deployed into real business processes, exposure to Azure and Snowflake, and a quantitative degree, with a Master's an advantage.
