Job description
EY is seeking an experienced Mergers and Acquisition Manager specializing in the Energy sector to join its Strategy & Transactions practice in Dubai. The role focuses on guiding clients through the full M&A lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, IPOs, and strategic reviews. You will leverage EYâs global network to provide sector-focused advice, manage transactions from strategic positioning to close, and advise C-suite executives and boards on strategic alternatives. This senior-level role requires strong financial modeling, project management, and corporate finance expertise with a proven track record of executing complex transactions.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead the execution of transactions across the client portfolio, preparing/reviewing client reports and key documentation for fundraising, acquisitions and disposals
- Take an active role in business development activities including preparation of pitch books, marketing materials, and client meetings
- Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identifying opportunities and leveraging relationships
- Project manage transactions, ensuring quality deliverables, managing counterparties, and meeting transaction milestones
- Understand key business drivers, predict and manage key issues and risks through insights and advice
- Lead, develop, and counsel junior colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to team growth
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in finance or related specialization from a reputable university
- At least 7-8 years' experience in an M&A environment with key role in executing transactions
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills
- Proven ability to produce high quality, impactful professional documents
- Flexibility to travel (25% to 75%)
- MBA or Masterâs degree in finance or related field preferred
- CFA qualification preferred
- Transactions experience in a client-facing role within professional services, investment bank, or similar organization
- GCC experience or experience working in mature markets
