Job description
Presight, a leading GenAI-powered data analytics company under the G42 Group, is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to oversee and scale its quality assurance function across mission-critical AI and big data platforms. This position is based in Abu Dhabi and plays a key leadership role in engineering excellence and QA governance. You will lead a team of QA engineers, define quality metrics and automation strategies, and ensure secure, scalable testing across cloud-native, data-driven applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in test automation, data quality validation, and Agile/DevOps environments, along with solid leadership experience. This is a high-impact role supporting Presightâs ambition to deliver world-class AI solutions across sectors.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
- Define and drive overall QA strategy, standards, and best practices across engineering teams
- Act as quality owner for one or more products, engaging with cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify quality goals and KPIs, and build automated reporting mechanisms
- Translate business requirements into test plans and quality checkpoints
- Design and execute end-to-end testing strategies including functional, performance, regression, and UAT
- Review technical specs and ensure code testability with development teams
- Own and enhance automated testing frameworks, CI/CD integrations, and test coverage
- Perform test design and data validation on scalable data and AI-based platforms
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security testing, and regulatory standards
- Maintain QA processes aligned with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Comply with organizational policies on QHSE, Information Security, Risk, and Compliance
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
- At least 3 years in a QA leadership or mentoring role
- Proven track record in testing large-scale web, cloud, and data applications
- Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Robot Framework, and SoapUI
- Experience with JIRA, TestRail, Confluence, HP QC/ALM for test management
- Hands-on programming or scripting in Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar
- Big data/AI platform experience including ETL, Spark, Elasticsearch, SQL
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux/Shell scripting
- Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery environments
