Job description

The role involves translating global and regional strategies into local medical objectives, evidence generation plans, and access-enabling initiatives. The incumbent leads TA medical teams, fostering scientific excellence, strategic thinking, and external engagement capabilities while ensuring talent development and succession planning. The role oversees evidence generation strategy including real-world data (RWD), registries, and post-marketing research, and integrates HEOR and value-based healthcare initiatives to support market access and reimbursement strategies. The position ensures full medical governance and compliance with AstraZeneca policies, SOPs, and local regulations, and provides oversight for promotional review and clinical programs. It requires strong cross-functional collaboration across medical, commercial, access, and policy teams, ensuring alignment between medical strategy and business objectives while contributing to pipeline readiness, lifecycle management, and indication expansion in rare disease therapeutics.
