Job description
The Finance Manager, MENA Finance role at Amazon Middle East and North Africa FZ-LLC is a senior finance position responsible for driving growth and profitability through data-driven insights, robust financial controls, and advanced analytics. The role involves establishing and maintaining financial controls and processes through continuous auditing and detailed reporting of inputs and outputs, working extensively with large and complex data sets. The Finance Manager partners closely with business and Business Intelligence teams to invent, simplify, and automate management reporting, develop tools and mechanisms to inspect growth and profitability, and establish controllership and approval mechanisms to manage day-to-day profitability. The role requires deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and the application of KPIs to link operational objectives with financial outcomes. The incumbent leads key analytical projects, contributes to senior leadership decision-making, and provides strategic guidance and tactical decision support to business and finance partners across global teams. The position operates in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and global environment, requiring strong experience with SQL, ETL, large-scale data mining and reporting tools, and financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Essbase, Cognos, and MS Access. The role supports short- and long-term financial planning, continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and standardization of finance processes across the MENA region, while collaborating cross-functionally and potentially traveling to sites on an ad-hoc basis.
