The Field Sales Executive – Direct Channels role within du telecommunications focuses on supporting retail sales performance, field sales activities, and direct channel operations across the United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for identifying and capturing sales opportunities outside traditional retail shop operations while maintaining high service standards and supporting continuous store operations when retail staff coverage is required. The position supports urgent operational requests from authorities and major events including high-profile product launches such as iPhone launches and operational requests from organizations such as the UAE Humanitarian Center. The role includes conducting field market visits to collect market intelligence, analyze customer behavior, identify emerging sales opportunities, and monitor competitive activities across the telecommunications retail market. The Field Sales Executive supports customer interactions by assisting with inquiries, facilitating order fulfillment, and ensuring service delivery aligns with established retail customer service standards. In addition to direct sales activities, the role supports event logistics and retail activation efforts during product launches, promotional campaigns, and festivals to maximize customer engagement and sales performance. The position requires preparing and delivering regular reports on field activities, sales performance, customer interactions, and competitive observations to support data-driven decision-making within the retail and direct sales channel. The role also requires understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements including Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) regulations and CPR compliance standards relevant to telecommunications operations. Candidates are expected to possess familiarity with emerging technologies including AI technologies and process optimization methods that can support improved operational efficiency and performance monitoring. The role operates within du’s Customer & Channels business unit and requires active field engagement, strong coordination with retail operations teams, and the ability to contribute to achieving sales targets and KPI performance across the direct sales channel network.

Key responsibilities
- Capture and pursue sales opportunities outside standard retail shop operations by engaging customers in field environments, identifying potential sales prospects, and converting opportunities to support overall direct channel revenue targets.
- Respond to urgent operational requests from authorities and special events including support activities for initiatives such as UAE Humanitarian Center operations and high-demand product launches including iPhone launches.
- Provide temporary operational coverage for retail staff when required to ensure uninterrupted retail store operations and maintain consistent customer service delivery across direct channel locations.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, service requests, and order fulfillment processes while maintaining high customer service standards aligned with telecommunications retail service guidelines.
- Conduct regular market visits to gather field intelligence including competitive activity monitoring, customer behavior analysis, and identification of emerging telecommunications sales opportunities.
- Support event logistics and retail activation activities during product launches, festivals, promotional campaigns, and special sales events in order to maximize customer engagement and drive additional sales performance.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports detailing field activities, sales performance metrics, competitive observations, and customer interactions to support performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.
- Support retail operations by providing field insights, assisting with operational challenges, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure alignment between field sales activities and overall retail channel performance.
Experience & skills
- Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Sales and Marketing to support the technical and commercial requirements of telecommunications retail sales operations.
- Possess three to five years of professional experience in quality assurance or related operational roles ideally within retail operations or customer service environments supporting sales and service delivery.
- Demonstrate at least two years of team leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, performance monitoring, and supporting team members in achieving operational or service-related targets.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) regulations and CPR compliance requirements applicable to telecommunications sales and service operations.
- Possess familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies and process optimization techniques used to improve operational efficiency and support data-driven sales and performance management.
- Demonstrate strong experience in sales reporting, performance analysis, and data-driven decision-making processes used to monitor field sales activities and evaluate channel performance.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet and exceed sales and service-related targets while operating in dynamic field sales environments and maintaining compliance with retail operational standards.
- Demonstrate mobility within the local area to conduct field visits, support retail locations, attend events, and perform direct channel sales activities across assigned operational territories.
