Job description
Building projects across Mott MacDonald's portfolio need ICT, ELV and Security systems designed to work as one integrated system rather than three separate ones, and that integration is where this role sits. You contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and space planning through detailed design and tender documentation. Structured cabling, active networks, IPTV, IP telephony and wireless access points all fall within scope, alongside security systems covering video surveillance, access control, intercom and two-way radio. BMS, PAVA, audio-visual and smart building technologies round out the technical territory this role covers. Architecture, MEP, structural and utilities teams all coordinate closely with this position to keep designs genuinely integrated rather than bolted together after the fact. Local and international codes and standards shape every design decision, and client meetings become part of the routine when coordination issues need resolving on-site. Technical reports, design specifications, calculations and engineer's estimates get prepared throughout, supported by BIM and other digital engineering tools. Cost-effective solutions stay the goal at every stage, without performance, quality or compliance getting compromised along the way.
