Job description
Qatar Airways is seeking an IFE Development Manager to join its Product Development & Design Division in Doha. The role is responsible for developing and delivering engaging in-flight entertainment strategies, including curating, acquiring, and managing diverse entertainment content offerings. The position involves cultivating relationships with studios, distributors, and content providers, ensuring compliance with licensing and copyright laws, and integrating content with IFE platforms to enrich the passenger experience. The manager will leverage data analytics and passenger feedback to optimize content effectiveness, enhance engagement, and support revenue growth while ensuring alignment with the airline’s brand and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive in-flight entertainment content strategy aligned with brand and audience demographics
- Identify industry trends, analyze competitor offerings, and forecast future content needs
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies
- Lead the curation, selection, and acquisition of high-quality entertainment content
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems into the inflight entertainment platform
- Leverage technology solutions to enhance passenger experience and streamline content management
- Utilize data analytics and passenger feedback to evaluate and optimize content effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively address compliance issues
- Perform other department-related duties as directed by senior leadership
Experience & skills
- High School, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum 9+ years of experience in inflight entertainment content and media integration systems
- Financial understanding of content licensing pricing structure and operational costs
- Strategic mindset with ability to execute long-term content strategies
- Familiarity with digital content delivery systems and IFE platforms
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills
- Strong written reporting, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
