The EEMC Technical Shop Support Manager at Emirates Engine Maintenance Centre (EEMC) in Dubai is responsible for leading the technical support function for the engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) process across Emiratesā fleet engines. The role operates within a state-of-the-art engine maintenance facility delivering integrated services including Engine Technical Services (ETS), propulsion planning and logistics, and engine shop and test cell operations. The position ensures all engine overhaul activities comply with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations, airworthiness regulations, and airline Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) requirements while meeting Emirates standards for quality, turnaround time, and cost optimization. The manager is accountable for supporting production and operational needs including translating customer work scope requirements into EEMC maintenance tasks, providing technical guidance during engine induction meetings, addressing technical queries and defect rectification, supporting tooling and data queries, responding to engine evaluation reports (EER), managing departure record creation processes, and mitigating work stoppage issues within production. The role also ensures the development and maintenance of clear and accurate task cards while integrating Human Factors considerations to ensure safe and efficient task execution. The Technical Shop Support Manager leads industrialization initiatives related to new repair capabilities, coordinating between production teams, third-party MRO providers, and manufacturers to support capability expansion and new product introduction within the EEMC strategy. The position also leads investigations into internal and external non-compliance findings, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to improve operational reliability and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role is responsible for establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvements across Technical Shop Support Engineering while supporting repair and overhaul capability development of engine modules aligned with business growth objectives. The manager contributes to strategic repair planning and internal repair strategy development to maximize revenue while collaborating with Emirates Procurement to optimize repair production line utilization. The role requires deep expertise in engine maintenance philosophy including engine modules, nacelles, powerplant piece part repairs, engineering planning, maintenance organization practices, contracts, purchasing, warranty management, and certification standards within the aviation industry. Continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and 5D are applied to drive efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence within the engine overhaul facility.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical support function for the entire engine overhaul process ensuring compliance with OEM standards, CAMO requirements, and aviation airworthiness regulations
- Support production and operational requirements including transcription of customer work scope into EEMC maintenance tasks, induction technical reviews, defect rectification, tooling and data queries, test data troubleshooting, and response to engine evaluation reports (EER)
- Oversee the creation and management of departure records and implement solutions to mitigate work stoppage issues within the engine overhaul production process
- Define and maintain accurate task card documentation ensuring clarity, correct technical data, usability, and inclusion of Human Factors considerations
- Lead industrialization initiatives for new repair capabilities through coordination with production teams, third-party MRO providers, and OEM manufacturers
- Conduct investigations for internal and external non-compliance findings including performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve performance within Technical Shop Support Engineering
- Drive repair and overhaul capability development for engine modules aligned with business growth and operational strategy
- Lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives in accordance with the EEMC capability expansion strategy
- Analyze and manage internal repair strategies in collaboration with Emirates Procurement to maximize revenue and optimize repair production line utilization
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and 5D to optimize maintenance processes and operational efficiency
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License with at least 5 years of validity
- Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering Technical Services, including repairs and testing of Power Plant and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) equipment
- Possess practical production environment experience in engine maintenance operations with at least 8 years of experience across multiple fleet types or aircraft systems
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of aviation airworthiness regulations, maintenance organization practices, certification processes, and design organization structures
- Maintain strong knowledge of engine maintenance philosophy including engines, engine modules, nacelles, powerplant piece part repairs, engineering planning, contracts, purchasing, and warranty processes
- Show expertise in analysing technical information and implementing engineering solutions in cost-effective ways aligned with operational requirements
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities in managing technical engineering teams and driving operational improvements within aviation maintenance environments
- Possess advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and 5D for leading large-scale operational improvement projects
- Maintain understanding of financial considerations relevant to maintenance operations including cost optimization and production planning
- Stay updated with the latest technical developments and industry trends related to aircraft engines, propulsion systems, and aviation maintenance technologies
