The Tax Analyst (UAE National) role at KPMG Lower Gulf is an entry-level opportunity designed for Emirati graduates aspiring to begin a career in professional tax advisory and compliance. Based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, this position supports tax advisory teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting clients with the implementation of new UAE and international tax regulations. The role involves close collaboration with experienced professionals across accounting, finance, and advisory functions, contributing to cross-functional client engagements. Analysts will gain exposure to the full tax lifecycle, from compliance and reporting to strategic advisory work, with opportunities to participate in projects that shape data-driven and regulatory-compliant organizations. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of corporate and indirect tax returns in compliance with UAE regulations
- Conduct research and analysis on UAE and international tax laws, treaties, and compliance frameworks
- Support the advisory team on tax planning, risk management, and client consultation projects
- Help clients understand new corporate tax developments and compliance requirements under UAE legislation
- Collaborate with finance, audit, and consulting teams to deliver integrated tax advisory services
- Prepare tax documentation, working papers, and supporting schedules for client engagements
- Contribute to the preparation of internal reports, summaries, and presentation materials
- Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team expertise and standardize best practices
- Support continuous improvement of tax processes, tools, and methodologies within the department
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in handling confidential client information
Experience & skills
- UAE National with a valid Family Book (Emirati citizenship requirement)
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- Strong academic record and foundational understanding of accounting and taxation concepts
- Interest in developing a career in tax advisory, compliance, and consulting services
- Fluent in both English and Arabic with clear and confident communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
