Job description
KPMG is seeking a Data Analytics Assistant Manager within its Forensics team based in Dubai. The role requires in-depth expertise in forensic data analytics, including fraud detection, anomaly identification, and advanced reporting. The candidate will lead data-driven investigations, supervise junior team members, assist in proposal development, and support client delivery across forensic assignments. Experience in SQL, Python, R, and business intelligence tools is critical, as is a sound understanding of risk management procedures and innovative tech adoption. The role also involves performance management, client liaison, and regular contribution to the firm's forensic knowledge base.

Key responsibilities
- Independently manage forensic data analytics assignments from start to finish.
- Identify fraud patterns, outliers, and anomalies through analytical methods.
- Develop and deliver engaging reports and visualizations to senior stakeholders.
- Use coding languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R) and tools (Power BI, Tableau) for data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with global/local KPMG risk management procedures.
- Keep up to date with AI and data trends to implement innovative forensic tech solutions.
- Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
- Supervise junior team members and allocate work accordingly.
- Coach team members on technical topics, risk processes, and reporting standards.
- Assist in operational and administrative activities such as MIS, training, and internal updates.
- Maintain awareness of forensic activities and industry developments globally and locally.
- Act as performance manager for multiple staff members.
- Report to senior managers or partners on project and administrative matters.
Experience & skills
- Strong background in forensic tech, data analytics, or audit.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant forensic data analytics experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience in data integration, modelling, and transformation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including report and proposal writing.
- Knowledge of forensic assignments, risk procedures, and industry best practices.
- Microsoft or Tableau certifications preferred.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
