Job description
The Solution Architect – Digital Support & Operations (UAE National) role in Sharjah is responsible for delivering comprehensive application support, system administration, and operational oversight of web and mobile applications as well as cloud services. The position involves supporting deployment and configuration of mobile application platforms (Android and iOS), operating and monitoring applications, and ensuring high availability and performance across collaboration environments. The role requires hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure Kubernetes, AWS Cloud Computing Platform, databases including MySQL, Oracle DB, and MongoDB, scripting with Unix Shell and PL/SQL, and middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic and NGINX. The architect will oversee web servers including Apache Tomcat, iPlanet, and IIS, ensure regulatory compliance, manage product lifecycle considerations, and apply Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Deployment practices. Responsibilities include Level-II and Tier 2 support (24x7), forecasting system demand, recommending infrastructure upgrades, maintaining KPIs, documenting released applications, reporting performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to operational policies and resolution protocols while providing escalation support to IT Development and Executive Management teams.

Key responsibilities
- Support deployment and configuration of mobile application platforms (Android and iOS), ensuring stable production releases and operational readiness
- Operate, monitor, and maintain web and mobile applications and associated cloud services to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Monitor collaboration environments for anomalies and errors, proactively identify issues, and escalate to IT Development and Executive Management teams when required
- Provide daily platform support, maintenance, and management activities, including troubleshooting and resolving Level-II and Tier 2 incidents on a 24x7 basis
- Document, track, and maintain released applications, ensuring accurate records of configurations, updates, and incident resolutions
- Forecast system demand and recommend infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and reconfigurations to support business growth and scalability
- Develop and enforce procedures, policies, and resolution protocols to maintain high operational standards and regulatory compliance
- Report application performance metrics and system health information to line managers and relevant stakeholders
- Provide support for domain-related applications within the section and ensure compliance with internal rules and operational policies
- Address customer complaints promptly, maintain section KPIs, and ensure service-level objectives are met consistently
- Support and administer middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic and NGINX, and manage web servers including Apache Tomcat, iPlanet, and IIS
- Manage databases (MySQL, Oracle DB, MongoDB) and execute Unix Shell and PL/SQL scripts to support application functionality and data integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Deployment practices to enhance operational efficiency
- Apply E2E functional design principles and product lifecycle management practices to ensure sustainable digital operations
Experience & skills
