Job description
The Medical Representative (Medical Information Officer) is responsible for promoting Julpharâs products and services to healthcare providers, KOLs, and other key stakeholders in an assigned territory. Acting as a trusted advisor, the MIO facilitates customer buying decisions by providing therapeutic solutions, while maintaining the companyâs image and adhering to Julpharâs core values. The role involves meeting sales targets, developing and managing territory accounts, implementing marketing plans, maintaining customer profiles and CRM reporting, planning schedules, and contributing to company meetings. The MIO is also responsible for continuous learning, strategic territory development, competitor monitoring, organizing healthcare activities, prospecting for new business, and ensuring alignment with sales and marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Meets or exceeds sales targets within agreed budgets and timeline.
- Develops and manages the assigned sales territory in terms of customers, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
- Implements the Companyâs sales and marketing plan in the assigned territory.
- Implements territory coverage plan (number of sales calls and visit frequency).
- Delivers customer-centric activities in coordination with the Line Manager.
- Maintains records system; daily reports, customer profile, and marketing feedback reports.
- Plans work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables.
- Submits daily and monthly reports and CRM reports as per country reporting system.
- Participates and contributes in all company meetings and presents the territory snapshot.
- Drives increased revenue and profit to achieve the Companyâs ambitious growth.
- Ensures self-learning, knowledge updating, skill building, and proper presentation of information to healthcare professionals.
- Organizes audio-visual activities for healthcare providers as per business need in coordination with Line Manager and Marketing Manager.
- Keeps up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the Medical and Marketing Department.
- Monitors competitorsâ sales and marketing activities and reports market intelligence appropriately.
- Stays informed about important activities of health services in the territory.
- Effectively uses company promotional tools, Free Medical Samples (FMS), and services to achieve assigned targets.
- Responsible for ongoing prospecting for new business opportunities.
Experience & skills
- 4 years Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Science is mandatory.
- Masterâs Degree in Business Administration is highly an advantage.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Distributor/Agents operations, Government accounts, tendering processes, contracting, and pricing methods.
- Functional knowledge of the clinical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Moderate understanding of Pharma supply chain, dispensing requirements, and drug distribution channels.
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships with country teams, Marketing, and Medical teams at Head Office.
