Job description
The Corporate Accounting Specialist at Hilton Shared Services in Ras Al Khaimah is responsible for managing daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with company policies and EAS, reconciling financial discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring proper internal controls are followed. The specialist manages PTP invoice posting, supplier payment runs, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end activities, Fixed Cost Register accuracy, VAT reconciliations and returns, and payroll preparation. This role requires familiarity with financial systems such as Navision, DocuWare, Birchstreet, and Oasys, and adherence to international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and EAS
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Ensure PTP invoices are correctly posted and perform supplier payment runs with proper supporting information
- Perform reconciliations to supplier statements of account and balance sheet accounts
- Take charge of specific month-end activity processes
- Maintain Fixed Cost Register ensuring accurate reflection of all contracts
- Prepare VAT reconciliation and VAT return
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place and adhered to
- Prepare payroll and other accounting tasks as required by business operations
Experience & skills
- Accounting qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Finance team
- Good English language skills
- Knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end activities, payroll
- Proactive, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work cohesively with others both in-office and remotely
- Willingness to learn multiple systems and accept new challenges
- Preferred: University graduate or accounting bachelor degree
- Preferred: 4 years experience in a hotel Finance team
- Preferred: Knowledge of Navision, DocuWare, Birchstreet, Oasys
- Preferred: Good Arabic language skills
