Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision for a Large Landscape project in Abu Dhabi encompassing wet & dry utilities, internal roads, and parks. The role assists the Project Director with project management while leading and covering all engineering disciplines across the project’s requirements during design and supervision; directs supervision, coordination, and compliance of all works including land development, site improvements, and Highrise Buildings construction; monitors progress against the agreed schedule; checks the Contractor’s submissions and responds to Requests for Information; observes site safety procedures and actively monitors and reports on contractor safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required; actively monitors implementation of contractor quality procedures and raises non-conformance reports as needed; prepares technical reports and presentations to update the client on progress; and is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Mott MacDonald’s reputation with the client and developing long-term relationships. The candidate specification requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or relevant discipline), demonstrable experience on Large Landscape projects (wet & dry utilities, internal roads & parks) including site improvements on large construction projects in the UAE in a similar capacity, and experience covering all Health and Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of construction and operations.
