Job description
Zain Bahrain's financial operations department relies on accurate, timely numbers, and this role exists to keep the general ledger and accounts payable side of that running cleanly. You'll maintain the general ledger for the company and its subsidiaries, covering journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and ledger analysis. Accounting policies, procedures and internal controls need consistent adherence to keep financial data intact. Month-end close runs through this role, coordinating with cross-functional teams to keep financial reporting accurate and on schedule. Journal entries, accruals and adjustments get reviewed and finalized to keep financial statements complete and correct. Internal and external auditors work with this position directly, whether that means facilitating an audit or resolving a finding. Invoice processing and payments stay accurate and compliant with company policy, with vendor and supplier relationships managed alongside them. Process improvements and automation get identified wherever they can reduce errors or free up time across general ledger and accounts payable workflows. Training, coaching and mentorship for team members round out the role, alongside staying current on accounting standards and industry trends.
